2010 was another successful year for
The Bullhead City Race for the Cure
This year's theme was "The Academy Awards".
We were kind of disappointed when we drew the movie
M.A.S.H.!
But wow.
The M.A.S.H. theme really enabled us to have a
Patriotic America theme,
giving us an opportunity to
proudly include great ways to give
Support & Thanks to
Our American Troops!:
Putting up the 4077th's camouflage cover.
Our grandson Joe always makes such great signs for us!
My Paul made the 4077's "Directions" sign,
along with to proudly let our Old Glory wave.
A 4077 chest and US Army helmet, along with
some samples of the cards that were hand made
with personal greetings, to send to
our military personnel who are so proudly serving today.
Our sons Bud and Steve, putting together cots
for our M.A.S.H. unit
The food items we sell start arriving!
My sister Mary flies out every year
from Minnesota (seated in background).
and soooo many more home-made goodies to sell for funding for
The Cure.
A table set up so that people can stop by for a minute
and write special special thanks on cards that were
mailed to the troops. and...
Patriotic teddy bears!
More teddy bears!
(Remember our little friend Radar!)
Our daughter Kathy, who's worked in the medical world for
about 30 years now.
(and who supplied us with a lot of medical props.)
My office-mate and dear friend Dr. Penny Zonk!
(LOL!)
M.A.S.H.'s Bullhead City Mess Hall is now open for business!
A special thanks to the BCHS kids who donated time
to perform for our Relay for the Cure event this year!:
